The person behind {{BRAND}}
I am {{OWNER_NAME}}. I fix computers, and I print and design things, from a home workshop in Paarl. This is a one-person business and it started in 2026.
A photograph of me at the bench goes here. It is not taken yet, and I would rather leave the space empty than put a stock photo of a stranger in a call centre on my own About page.
Part-time is the point, not a compromise
I work evenings and weekends because that is when most people can actually be home for a repair or stand still long enough to approve a design. Shops that do open those slots usually charge one and a half to two times for them. I charge the same as any other hour.
What you give up in exchange: I cannot do same-day walk-in work, and I will not pretend otherwise. What you get is a date, and I keep it.
Hours, replies and turnaround
| Days | Hours | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Monday to Thursday | 17:00 to 21:00 | After work |
| Saturday | 08:00 to 17:00 | Standard rates, no evening premium |
| Sunday | 08:00 to 17:00 | Limited |
I work evenings and weekends. Message any time: if you message during the day I reply that evening, and at the latest by the next evening.
- Repairs: typically 2 to 5 days.
- Mugs and printing: 3 to 5 days from proof approval.
- Invitations and websites: 7 to 10 days, longer for the bigger packages.
Urgent work is possible. A same-day job you ask me to jump the queue for, work after 21:00, or a public holiday carries a 50% premium, and I tell you that before I start, never after.
Where I work
Paarl and 40 km around: Wellington, Klapmuts, Simondium, the Franschhoek edge, and Stellenbosch by arrangement.
| Distance | Call-out fee |
|---|---|
| 0 to 15 km | Free |
| 15 to 25 km | R250 |
| 25 to 40 km | R400 |
| Beyond 40 km | Remote support only |
There is no walk-in shop. Drop-off and collection in Paarl are arranged per job, and I send you the address when we set a time. Beyond 40 km I work remotely, anywhere in the country.
What I actually have
- An Epson L11050 A3+ sublimation printer. That is what sets the maximum print size at A3+.
- A flat heat press of about 55 x 40 cm, for shirts, fabric panels and sticker sheets.
- A mug press, for 11oz mugs.
- A repair bench with the usual tools, spare drives for cloning, and software for diagnostics and recovery.
That list is deliberately specific. "Professional equipment" tells you nothing; a model number you can look up tells you what I can and cannot print.
How I work
- You describe the job. I ask whatever is missing.
- Devices get an intake form and photos at drop-off, so there is no argument later about a scratch that was already there.
- You get a written quote before any work starts. On repairs that follows the R200 diagnostic, which comes off the price if you go ahead.
- I back up before I reinstall or wipe anything.
- Nothing is printed before you approve the proof in writing.
- You pay on collection, or on the deposit terms for made-to-order work.
- Labour carries a 30-day workmanship warranty.
What I am not
- Not a walk-in shop, and not a same-day service.
- Not a managed IT provider. No 24/7 support, no service level agreements.
- Not a board-level repairer. Soldering work on motherboards gets referred out.
- Not a data recovery lab. If a drive is clicking or not detected, it needs a clean room, and I refer it on for free rather than making it worse.
- Not a bulk promotional printer. Maximum print size is A3+, and a run of a thousand branded pens is not something I can do.
- Not a team. When this site says "I", it means one person, and that is the whole capacity.
Saying this out loud costs me a few enquiries and saves both of us a bad first job.
Your privacy and your files
I access only the files a job needs, I ask for that in writing at drop-off, I offer a backup before anything is wiped, and I keep no copies once the work is done. Remote sessions are attended and end when you close them.
The full detail, including what the quote form on this site does with your details and where they go, is on the privacy and terms page.
Ready when you are
Weekdays from 17:00, weekends 08:00 to 17:00. Messages sent during the day get a reply that evening.
